Tortilis It is a rustic, tented camp set in a forest of Acacia Tortilis thorn trees; from which the camp gets its name. The main feature of the camp is the view of the Amboseli plains and Mount Kilimanjaro towering above it. This camp has won numerous awards including the British Airways Regional Award for Ecotourism and a place on the Conde Nast Travellers 2005 Gold list.
The camp has earned itself an international reputation for attention to comfort without compromising the ecosystem. Each tent is spacious with double or twin beds, leading in to a private dressing room with a modern bathroom. Each tent is raised up on a wooden deck and has a large veranda. It has a good pool and offers excellent massage after a long hard day in the bush!
