Governors Private Camp – Our viewGovernors’ Private Camp is a pretty niche product and so one that we occasionally recommend for clients. The main feature of the camp is that, for a group of 4 or more who are looking for a smaller camp in the Mara, it suits perfectly. Consisting of 6 or more tents, the camp offers a private experience throughout with views out onto the Mara River, exclusive use of the vehicles and guides in camp and access to what must be one of the best areas for game in Africa….what more can you ask for!

Governors Private Camp – The Detail
Along with the rest of the Governors’ portfolio, Governors’ Private Camp sits along the banks of the Mara River, as it winds its way slowly through the Paradise Plains of the Mara. This unique area has provided food and relative safety to millions of wildebeest and zebra over the course of the last few thousand of years.
The Governors’ camps were located in this area as, with the permanent water supply offered by the river, this is the perfect area for lion and leopard to have their territories, going out onto the plains for night forays and hunting. It is for this reason that this group of camps is so special.
