  • Cottars 1920s Safari Camp

This is located down on the very eastern edge of the Mara and the border of Tanzania. The camp harks back to the days of gramophones, hand cranked cars and old world charm.

Each of the 8 tents has en-suite shower rooms, dressing areas, the main bedroom and a veranda. The decoration inside has been done in a way to incorporate original safari antiques from the 20s and game drives, whether by night or by day, in replica vehicles.

Cottars Camp - Kenya Odyssey view

Cottars is set down to the South East of the Mara away from the crowds of the more popular western Mara region. On the whole the guiding is good from the camp and the experience of riding through the bush in a replica 20s car is novel. The region has good resident prides and, due to its secluded location, has an intimate safari feel.
