Peponi

This has long been famous and synonymous with the Lamu Archipelago, although it is actually situated just up the coast in the smaller village of Shela. Peponi hotel has been owned and operated since the dawn of time by Lars and Carol and is a true reflection of them in that there is a very warm and accustoming feel to the place.

Shela House

This has four luxury villas, ranging in size from accommodating 8 to 12 people, are all set in the winding passages of Shela and its surrounds. They have all been designed in a traditional Arabic style with a central courtyard and rooftop lounging area with the rooms coming off the bougainvillea covered walkways. With views out across the roof tops and the bay beyond these are all cool and peaceful surrounds in which to enjoy the island.

Kizingoni

This is a collection of very up market villas built to international standards, each with a private pool and access to the beach. The interiors have been designed with an international palette in mind, while the beach will suite those of a more Robinson Crusoe mindset.

Kizingo

This is situated on the north eastern point of this small island, Kizingo is a perfect getaway on a 16 km long soft, sandy beach. Just 20 mins by boat from Lamu, Town itself, each of the 8 spacious bandas has sea views, en-suite bathrooms, and a shaded balcony overlooking the ocean.

Kipungani

is a small 14 thatch hut lodge on a southern shore of Lamu Island. Each of the bandas is set apart from the rest, allowing privacy, and has an ensuite bathroom with a small veranda. The lodge itself boasts a great range of Swahili and Arabian influenced food with the sea food being an obvious delight.
