Other ActivitiesKenya and the diversity of its topography make it an ideal country in which to do a vast variety of activities. A list of the favourite options and where to do them is listed below: GolfGolf is most probably the single most popular, with the exception of safari, reason to come to Kenya. A wide range of varying standards of course can be found, predominant located either around Nairobi or within a short drive of it. From the international standard courses around Nairobi to the flamingo and crocodile filled water hazards around Lake Naivasha, a good round can be had all over. Big Game FishingPossibly equalling the popularity of golf, the big game fishing that spans from the border with Tanzania up to the beaches of Malindi, is a seasonal affair with good numbers of sailfish and marlin migrating from around November to March along the coast. Often big tournaments are held and so booking into certain hotels at certain times of the year can be tricky. Walking and climbingAnother popular activity is the walking and climbing to be done. It is possible to combine a walk with safari viewing, but for the more adventurous it is possible to take on the peak of Mount Kenya or the craggy overhangs of Hell’s Gate National park which is home to the best climbing in the country.
