Norfolk Hotel This is one of the oldest in Nairobi and is still one of the best. Consisting of 168 rooms from air-conditioned duplexes in the 600 block to standard, fan-cooled colonial rooms, there is a wide range to select from. The Norfolk has all of the amenities you would require from a hotel with a couple of good restaurants and a locally renowned piano bar, set amongst an oasis of city calm.
This is a good hotel to stay in for the centre of town although can get very booked up should there be a conference in town and suffers slightly from a smallish, overlooked pool.

The duplex rooms and those in the old block are the best, if you can make do with fan cooling.
